Anguree living Art

Sadly it is Anguree here with her last guest share.. oh what amazing inspiration she has provided us all!  Over to Anguree....

For this layout I used the silver leaf, washi tape and the gorgeous silk paint to create a background. Being limited to only a few embellishments can be quite a challenge whether you are new at scrapbooking, or have been doing it for years. I guess it's almost harder when you have been spoilt and  had the opportunity to gather (or is that hoard? :) ) so many bits and pieces over the years. As result,  having to go to a retreat or crop where you only have the essential tools can be a quite difficult. The truth is that this kit alone, gives you plenty to work with. You'd be amazed at what you can do using only paint and everyday accessories.  So for my last layout I chose not to use any dies or even the embellishments in the pack. Tips for creating this layout:
  • Use your sewing machine to add some random stitching to create texture.
  • Need a bit more bling? Grab some Al foil from your kitchen and adhere it to scrap pieces of cardstock to mat your photos.
  • Use a dry paintbrush to white out sections of your layout when you are using dark backgrounds.
  • Google inspirational quotes to use for your journaling.
  • Quotes can be quite handy to spark up your mojo . (I was a bit stuck at what I was going to create for my third layout, but looked up some art quotes remembering that I have this stencil. –Some of you may have received this one in one of the earlier kits.)  I instantly knew what I wanted to do as soon as I found this quote. So yeah, Google is your friend and the elusive mojo is closer than you may realise. Last but not least, I have to mention that this layout was partly inspired by the lovely Fiona's layout in the latest Scrapbooking Memories Magazine
    :)

Well it's been loads of fun hanging out with you. All the best for the future and I hope you have fun playing. Cheers  xxx
